In 2023, California enacted the "No Toxics Tent Act," which removed the state's mandate for flame retardants in tents sold in the state. This means manufacturers of newer tents sold in California (and the rest of the USA) can now choose to go chemical free.  

The Gen 2 Rev Tents are free of flame-retardant chemicals. This change is a response to consumer demand and evolving regulations such as the ASTM F3431 standard.

Our tents are not fire proof, and never were, even with the chemicals.  It is advised to keep all heat sources away from the tent, and definitively -  no open flames inside or near the tent!
